Executioner’s House

In Paċifiku Scicluna street, one finds a small old building which used to serve as the Executioner’s house which dates back to the 16th century. During the period of the Order of St John and the Inquisition, the executioners and their families used to live in this building free of charge. The house is located close to the Inquisitor’s Palace which is the place where the executions used to take place.
