The square in the heart of Vittoriosa was named Victory Square to commemorate the important victory of the heroic Maltese and the Knights of St. John in the Great Siege of Malta of 1565. The square is full of life as it attracts many tourists who stop for a coffee or to eat in the restaurants located in the square.
