Accessibility Statement

COMPLIANCE STATUS

Kottonera Foundation is committed to providing a website that is accessible to everyone, regardless of technology or ability. We are dedicated to continuously improving the accessibility of our services with an emphasis on the anti-discrimination requirements of the Equal Opportunities (Disability) Act 2000 (EOA).

COMPLIANCE PROCESS

Our website is designed to work with the most recent internet browsers such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox. As part of this action, we adhere to the accessibility standard EN310549 and WCAG2.1 guidelines.

We strive to implement accessibility to information media that are provided through third party platforms wherever possible, such as our Instagram or Facebook pages.

ACCESSIBILITY MEASURES

Our portal does not use font, size and colour modification widgets. This is because we believe that this functionality is already integrated in most web browsers or is available through different add-ons and plugins that various users are free to customize to their needs. As a result, these arbitrary user ratings are available for most websites. In order to enable this level of customization, we seek to maximize compatibility with these user modifications.

As part of and in addition to the above-mentioned guidelines, our website implements the following accessibility features:

  • Maintain a consistent HTML Heading hierarchy and information layout across different web pages;
  • Information content is organised into HTML lists wherever applicable;
  • A script that highlights link focus to provide visual cues for keyboard exclusive users
  • RSS facility on certain content of interest
  • The image title, alt tag and caption wherever this information is relevant and useful
  • Maximise colour contrast for text where applicable where possible;
  • The actual link text is descriptive enough to inform the user where the link is displayed

INACCESSIBLE CONTENT

We are not aware of specific non-accessible content or accessibility issues on our portal. If you identify inaccessible content, kindly let us know by filling our Contact Us form.  Should such an error arise, our aim is to analyse the issue with a view to identify the accessibility matter and bring the affected area into compliance.

FEEDBACK AND CONTACT DETAILS

This is where we would like your help. If you encounter any issues in accessing our website, or have trouble using any aspect of the website, we would like you to let us know. All constructive feedback regarding the accessibility or usability of our site is welcome and will be carefully considered.
