Scamp Palace

The Scamp palace or as it is also known the Palace of the General of the Galleys was built in 1680 during the magistracy of Grand Master Fra Alof de Wignacourt (1601-1622) as the residence of the General of the Galleys. It was designed by the Maltese architect Lorenzo Gafà. Its architectural style is baroque and it is highly ornamental.
